I saw my last post was February 22 - much too long ago. Not much has changed here. I just wanted to let you all know that everything is going alright and we are still in the hunt for the playoffs. We are 1-1 since my last post. We won our game at home fairly easily, but lost on the road to the team in first place in our league. We gave them a fight, but it just wasn't enough in the end. I'm not one for excuses, but a 12-hour train ride the day before the game probably didn't help much. I did some reading and watched a couple movies on my computer to help the time go by, but I felt like a little kid saying, "Are we there yet?". We have another away game this Saturday and it's a must-win to help us seal a playoff spot. It's only an 8-hour bus ride this time :)
In other news, it was almost 50 degrees today and the birds were chirping - just a lovely sign that spring is hopefully here to stay.
I hope all is well back home. I miss you all very much.
Take care and God bless
I'm alive too Mike. My fault for losing touch on here for awhile. Keep working hard, we're all thinking about you.
ReplyDeleteIt's all good J-Bone. I know you are a busy, grown-up man so no worries :) Thanks for the support buddy.
ReplyDeletedo you have good leg room on the train? I have never rode on a train so I do not know. Do you only sit in a seat or are there sleeping cars? ;) Do they serve you meals? Do you have to make stops along the way? Sorry for the stupid questions but I am just curious I guess. It is nice to hear from you again. Take care bud!
ReplyDeleteHey Ann, they're not stupid questions so don't worry. Usually we take sleeping cars that have beds that are too small for me to fit in so needless to say I don't get much sleep on there. We only sat in the normal seats for one trip and there is plenty of legroom and you can get up whenever you want. They don't serve meals, but there is a dining car where you can order food and drinks if you want. It's somewhat pricey though. There are a lot of stops along the way, which probably is the main reason it takes so long to get from one side of the country to the other. Take care sis.
